See No. 10 in GoComics' Top-10 Most-Read for 2017
by John GlynnNo. 10 in our Top-Read Comics of 2017 is the supremely illustrated "9 Chickweed Lane".
I'm guessing this one touched a nerve with those of us who don't like bureaucracy. I, for one, hate bureaucrats and I'd have no reservations in telling them to go "jump in the coldest lake In Alberta."
Sometimes I dream that bureaucrats are forced to stand at the end of the line at the DMV and when they do finally get to the front, I am the clerk and I have a finely groomed mustache and I say, "Sorry, bozo, it's 5 o'clock and we're closed. You could try again tomorrow, but I'm not making any promises." And I can see the defeated look in their eyes and I just laugh to myself quietly.
See how it feels, bureaucrats? LOL!

Now imagine you’re a refugee, and you took a day off from work for which at you won’t be compensated and at worst will lose your job, and drove a hundred miles or so to the big city and got in the USCIS line at 5AM behind a few dozen others, and brought some piece of bumf to get signed by some jerk bureaucrat so you can repeat the process in another line on another day, and by the time you get to the head of the line you get the “Sorry, bozo…” routine.
