The internal chocolate melts in Florida heat (you can tell by breaking the shell when the outside temperature is above 95 degrees) but the candy shell has to get to about 300 degrees to melt. So if that has melted in your hand, then you are already dead and should not worry too much about it.
The grass is hurt less by freezes when it is brown then when it is green. The water in the green grass crystallizes and damages the cells. Brown grass has less water so less damage.
IOW, you do not want to force your grass to be green up until the first snowfall.
Canned vegetables are mostly an abomination. They are salty and mushy. (Not all but most)
