   I get so mad at gurus and professional advice givers when they write, “Just do this and you’ll be fine.” Whatever “this” is. Ugh. Mantras are fine—I use several prayer mantras—but I don’t expect them to make everything magically better. Somedays, all you can do is endure.

   I read in a science magazine that it isn’t the fur, it’s something in the saliva from their grooming that is the allergen. They were washing the cats to collect the saliva when they found the allergen stopped being excreted. Maybe get Pat/New Name used to being gently rinsed?
